Intent to Cure Default

When a debtor declares pre-petition judgment for residential property, the debtor must file the pre-petition judgment with the bankruptcy petition. 

Use this event to docket the Intent to Cure the Default. 

Note:  Also file with the Clerk a certified check or money order made payable to the lessor for 30 day rent deposit equal to any rent becoming due the 30 day period after filing of the bankruptcy petition.

Keystrokes

1.      Select Bankruptcy menu.

2.      Select Other/Misc.

3.      Enter Case Number.

4.      Ensure correct case name and number match the document you are filing.

5.      Select Docket Event:  Intent to Cure Default.

6.      Check box if joint filing with another attorney.

7.      Select party filer.

8.      Browse, verify and attach the document (PDF file).

9.   Deadline date to cure default appears.  Do not change.

10.  Enter amount of rent to be deposited. Example: 600.00

Note: This information is required!

11.  Verify final docket text before submitting onto case docket.

12.  Review the Notice of Electronic Filing.  It is your receipt.
