Docket this event when the debtor/joint-debtor was on active duty or serving in a homeland defense capacity when the petition was filed, but has now been released from active duty.
Use this docket event for:
Single or joint debtor.
Chapter 7 Individual consumer.
1. Select Bankruptcy menu.
2. Select Other/Misc.
3. Enter case number.
4. Ensure case number and name match the document you are filing.
5. Select Docket Event: Release from Active Duty.
6. Check box if joint filing with another attorney.
7. Select Party filer.
Pick [Debtor and/or Joint Debtor name].
8. Which debtor served in the reserves or in homeland defense activities?
Select [debtor, joint debtor or both debtors].
Warning: You must select an item from the list.
9. Is the debtor [joint debtor] claiming the temporary exclusion serving on active duty?
You will see both of the following questions for debtor and joint debtor if you select [both] for debtors serving in the reserves or in homeland defense activities.
Yes – Verify final docket text before submitting onto case docket.
No – Enter the date released from active duty.
The temporary exclusion for the debtor/joint debtor ends on: Enter the date debtor/joint debtor released from active duty.
Note: Select yes or no or warning message appears? You cannot proceed without making a selection.
10. Verify final docket text before submitting onto case docket.
11. Review the Notice of Electronic Filing. It is your receipt.
