If filed with the Answer to Complaint, docket the Answer to Complaint and the Third Party Complaint separately.
1. Select Adversary menu.
2. Select Complaint and Summons.
3. Enter adversary case number.
4. Ensure correct case name and number match the document you are filing.
5. Select Docket Event: Third Party Complaint.
6. Browse, verify and attach the document (PDF file).
Attach supportive documents, if applicable.
7. Select party filer.
8. Select party that this filing is against.
Select Add/Create New Party.
Party Role is 3rd Party Defendant.
3rd Party Defendant is pro se.
Do not change default: No Group.
9. Verify final docket text before submitting onto case docket.
10. Review the Notice of Electronic Filing. It’s your receipt.
Note: The role type of the 3rd Party Defendant goes into CM/ECF as a defendant. The court modifies the role type to 3rd Party Defendant.
The court prepares the Third Party Summons and issues the summons to the Third Party Defendant for execution.
