Use this docket event when seeking substantive consolidation of two or more estates having assets and debts that are so intermingled that administering the estates separately would be virtually impossible.
Docket the Motion for Substantive Consolidation in all cases to be consolidated.
When seeking less than substantive consolidation of two or more estates use the docket event Motion for Joint Administration.
Note: Do not use this event for Motion to Consolidate Trial. Use docket event: motion and indicate in the Open Text box: to Consolidate Trial.
1. Select Bankruptcy or Adversary menu.
2. Select Motions/Applications.
3. Enter case number.
4. Ensure correct case name and number match the document you are filing.
5. Select Docket Event: Substantive Consolidation.
6. Check box if joint filing with another attorney.
7. Select party filer.
Party filer not listed, Add/Create New Party.
8. Browse, verify and attach the document (PDF file).
Attach supportive documents, if applicable.
9. Verify the final docket text before submitting onto case docket.
10. Review the Notice of Electronic Filing. It is your receipt.
