Docket this event in an open chapter case only. If you have filed a Motion to Reopen the case, wait for the order granting the Motion to Reopen before docketing the Notice to File Claims.
The case is changed to an asset case and a Proof of Claim Deadline is set. To withdraw a Notice to File Claims docket Withdrawal of Document other than Proof of Claim. This allows the court to remove the proof of claim deadline and change the case to no asset.
1. Select Bankruptcy menu.
2. Select Trustee/US Trustee.
3. Enter case number.
4. Ensure correct case name and number match the document you are filing.
5. Bypass attorney screen.
6. Select Docket Event: Notice to File Claims.
7. Select party filer from pick list.
Pick [Trustee name].
8. Proof of Claims Deadline Date default appears.
9. Verify final docket text before submitting onto case docket.
10. Review the Notice of Electronic Filing. It is your receipt.
With the filing of this notice, the case is changed to an asset case and a Proof of Claim deadline is set. If the Notice to File Claims is withdrawn, the court edits the case to a no-asset case.
